Here are some inconvenient truths that it took me all my life to realize:
All good things come from God... and you and I are NOT him.
Forget all the New Age drivel you've read and heard from so-called spiritual teachers.
God is NOT some amorphous sentient energy with no preferences and no requirements, which New Agers call "The Universe" or "Source."
He is NOT some kind of mechanical mail-order system, like a huge Amazon in the sky that will bring you anything if you just push the right buttons.
He does NOT invite us to live however it pleases us.
He is NOT fine with us being greedy, needy, and self-centered, putting our own wants and desires above his laws.
He is NOT okay with fornication, materialism, or killing our unborn children because it is "convenient."
He does NOT want to see us destroy our immortal souls for the sake of shiny trinkets that mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.
We are NOT "co-creators." We are the created.
And our only purpose in life is to know, love, and serve God.
That's what he made us for. That's what we're supposed to do.
Doing anything else is wasting the precious time you've been given here on Earth. It will also expose you to the snares of the Dark Side, aka the devil. (Oh yes, he is real.)
I spent nearly all my life trying to find out what the meaning of life was. Maybe you have too.
Well, this is it.
It's really that simple, though not easy. But it can get easier if you stop fighting the truth.
Accept the fact that you have spent your life creating God in your image and likeness. Start listening to him instead of giving him instructions. Write a new chapter in your book.
Ask Jesus to enter your life and straighten it out. Ask for forgiveness. Ask him to make you a better, kinder, gentler, holier person. Ask him to make your soul worthy to go to Heaven. Don't chance going the other way.
Realize that he loves you and wants the best for you. But also realize that that "best" may not be what YOU had in mind. Not at all, maybe.
That's where your faith comes in. Bundle up all that faith you used for manifesting stuff you wanted and put it to use in God's service. Pray for sinners. Help those who suffer. Save souls.
And in the end, you'll see that the joy and happiness and fulfillment that always seemed to elude you has arrived, at last.
God bless you.
